Subscription

Subscription to our Software Support Service entitles you access to telephone based technical support, consultation, remote login to customer's system for consultation & troubleshooting purposes, web-based (HOW-TO's Documentation. E-Mail & Live Update) support, CD Based Program Updates and ongoing Ontario Ministry of Health MRI/MRO Technical Specifications Compliance.  The Software Support Service is an optional service. 

Your initial purchase of Visual Practice includes a one year subscription to our Software Support Service!

Your total Software Support Service renewal fee is calculated by multiplying number of module licenses held times the module subscription fees, plus the addition of any flat rate subscriptions. You should also add the number of persons accessing telephone support multiplied by the telephone support subscription fee. There is a discounting mechanism that reduces your per module subscription fee based on your ownership of a certain numbers of licenses. There is a table at the end of this page that outlines the quantity discount breaks.  Contracts are a minimum of $700 per year for Starter Kits and are calculated by module annually above that.

We realize all this may seem complicated, but based on feedback from customers over the years, it is the probably the fairest way to charge for support. This method of calculating licensing and support maintains fairness by allowing the customer to pay licenses and subscriptions only for those modules they own. This method also enables medical groups, clinics, or other multi-provider organizations a mechanism for distributing the cost of support fees fairly across their provider members in an equitable manner.

ACSL maintains a database of all licenses issued, and will provide you with a detailed offer for support each October, based on the above calculations. You only need to calculate your support fees if you wish to check our math, or calculate your potential support costs. We will shortly be posting an Excel spreadsheet that simplifies calculating licensing and subscription fees. An ACSL support representative can help you with this calculation as well.

 

Subscriptions are billed annually one month prior to your purchase anniversary.  Payment is due in thirty days unless other arrangements are made. After 30 days if no payment is remitted, a customer is considered off support. There is a $100 late fee should a customer wish to come back on the support program that year. Any previous support fees billed will also be due at that time.
